Mark Schultz, a Lynn resident, has been bringing his two boxer pups to the park for the last four months. He warns that, “It’s wicked nice, but be careful at night.” Police officers patrol the park during park hours, sunrise to sunset, but leave the park as soon as the sun begins to set.
Just minutes after the policeman and policewoman loaded their K-9 German Shepard partner into the back seat of the patrol car and pulled away from the park, several whistles that seem to signal it’s time could be eerily heard throughout the woods. Though the Lynn Woods Reservation does not allow camping of any sort,
tents pop up in the thicket when night begins to fall. The size of the
woods and lack of visibility at night seems to make it a difficult place
for police and park rangers to closely monitor. 106 Pennybrook Rd Lynn, MA 01905 Office: (781) 477-7123 |
